One might compare this gun to a more modern Beretta box lock - except that this gun was made by craftsmen in 1951 instead of by computers and machines that make guns today. These early Beretta shotguns are extremely well made with a rib extension cross bolt third bite. This thing shuts like a vault. The only way to approach this level of quality in today’s guns is to move up to the side lock guns at ten times the price. The gun is in 96+% original condition and the bores are about perfect.
