| Beretta 411E - Made in 1955 12ga, 2-3/4, 27-1/2" Ejector, Vent Rib, Chromium Molybdenum Steel barrels choked M/IM (.019/.028) with a raised solid rib, and rib extension third bite. Articulated front trigger, Greener style cross bolt third bite, 100% hand engraved with about 90% coverage Rose & Scroll engraving you cant buy that from Beretta today without mortgaging the vacation cottage. Stock LOP is 15-1/8 over a 1-1/4 leather covered pad, with Drop of 1-1/2 to 2-1/4. Weight 7-1/4 lbs. These are extremely RARE guns that seldom come on the market. One might be tempted to compare this gun to a more modern Beretta box lock - except that this gun was made by craftsmen in 1955 instead of by computers and machines that make guns today. The only way to approach this level of quality in todays guns is to move up to the side lock guns at ten times the price. Condition Original barrel finish at about 90% with perfect bores. The barrel sling swivel base was removed and the holes filled and cold blued. The stocks have been re-oiled, and remain in excellent condition. The checkering appears to be original and in excellent condition. The sling swivel stud was removed from the butt stock and replaced with a brass oval. |
