The comb of the stock has been modified. Originally the Drop was 1-1/4" to 2-1/16". So, the stock was lowered by about 5/16" at the front and about 1/16" at the heel. I can't tell anything was done. You can tell the stock was refinished, but the dimensions are about like any standard off the shelf gun.
This gun started life as a 28ga. The original owner purchased the .410 barrels and forearm and had them fitted to the gun. The wood is an excellent match. The extra barrels and forearm probably cost in the ball park of $1300 plus dollars. These guns typically sell for about $3000. Do the math. If you like the idea of the 28ga/.410 field set, this is a decent buy.
This gun is like new. The gun is very tight with either set of barrels. There isn't a mark on the gun anywhere. Putting aside the stock refinish, the gun is 99% as new.
