Browning Superposed Super Light - 20ga

| Browning Superposed Superlight 20ga, 26-1/2” IC/M (.004/.012). Straight hand stock , Schnabel forearm - LOP - 14-3/8" over the original butt plate. Drop - 1-3/8 to 2-1/4". Weight - 5 lbs. 12 oz. This is one of a group of guns produced in the mid 1980s after the Grade I Superposed had officially been discontinued. These guns were all fitted with upgraded wood and many, as this one does, had signed engraving. This gun has been used for its intended purpose. I rate the gun at about 93% overall. The butt stock is in great shape with no problems at all – just minor handling marks. The forearm has a significant crack that has been glued. No need to do further repair if you are going to the field with this gun. The barrels retain about 95% original finish, while the receiver is at about 90%. Mechanically the gun is very sound with the lever still well right of center. A neat extra with this gun – I have the ORIGINAL BOX! Should you ever decide to send this one off to Art’s to have him make it new again, you will have the box to put with the gun. Shoot if for another 20 years, have the gun refurbished and put it under the tree for one of the grandkids! |
